Edward Stoye and Dr. Anton Barrein become partners at activelaw

We are very pleased to announce that two more colleagues will join our partnership on May 1, 2026: Edward Stoye and Dr. Anton Barrein. With them, our partner group receives great growth — professionally and personally.

Edward has been working as a lawyer since September 2016 and has been strengthening our firm in the area of corporate law since October 2021. Since December 2023, he has also been a specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law. Edward is a central pillar of his department and plays a significant role in shaping the development of the division.

Anton has been working with our law firm for many years. Since June 2019, he has supported us as a research assistant during his studies, completed his internship with us and has been working as a lawyer in employment law since September 2022. Since December 2025, Anton has also been a specialist lawyer for employment law. Anton plays a key role in employment law and has become an integral part of the department.

My journey with activelaw began in 2021. After years full of exciting assignments, great teamwork and personal growth, I have wonderful news to announce: I'm a partner! I am grateful for the trust placed in me by my partners and mentors, particularly Dr. Alexander Nefzger and Thorsten Prigge. Together with our other new partner Dr. Anton Barrein, I am looking forward to the future of our law firm. On 01.05.2026, I was appointed a partner at activelaw. I am very pleased with the trust you have placed in me and the opportunity to play an even more active role in shaping the future of our law firm. I would particularly like to thank all colleagues who have accompanied and supported me on this journey. In particular, this includes Christoph Heidelberg, who has accompanied me on this journey as my mentor since “Day 1", and Dr. Christoph Wolter. For me, the appointment is both an incentive and an obligation to continue working with full commitment, entrepreneurial thinking and a clear focus on the needs of our clients. I am also pleased that I can start this new role with Edward Stoye from today, who will further advance our corporate law team led by Dr. Alexander Nefzger.
