And so, in addition to top-class guests and speakers, we were also proud that visitors to our networking event “Real Estate Partners Meet Friends” were able to get to know our new lounge. At the second meeting of the industry meeting, our three notaries Dr. Christoph Wolter, Richard Prechtel and Dr. Alexander Nefzger were the hosts together with Weser-Wohnbau GmbH & Co.KG and Interhomes AG. Around 30 guests from the construction and real estate industries listened to a presentation by Monika Balz, Head of Change Management at Continental AG's “Project Horse”, and Juliane Collins, Manager Location Communications. Your topic: The large construction site in our immediate vicinity. Why was the location at the Pferdeturm chosen? Why is the building deliberately flat? And what can employees expect after the move planned for this year?
Even before the start of the pandemic, Continental AG was planning to move its headquarters from Vahrenwalder Straße to the Pferdeturm. A modern and spacious office complex was to be built here in a central location. Then Corona hit and changed everything — including working life. The opportunity to work from home is much more self-evident today than it was five years ago. Flexible workplaces, fewer open-plan offices and meeting rooms of various sizes and equipment are needed.
The view from the window shows that not much is missing until life moves into the two buildings, which are connected by a bridge across Hans-Böckler-Allee. We are looking forward to meeting our new neighbors!
