“In my department, I have specialized in several areas of activity: for example, claims for damages due to faulty investment advice. Another focus is on the grey capital market. “Many often don't even know what their requirements are. I can only advise you to keep your eyes and ears open when it comes to financial issues. It motivates me that I am the mediator who can make justice out of injustice. I also find negotiating at regional or higher regional courts very exciting. Each case is individual and the case law in the various courts is always different. That alone makes the job very varied. ”
Why did you decide to become a lawyer?
“I like standing up for other people — and I like winning disputes. When I help my clients achieve success, for example because they receive more money as a result of a won case, that makes me feel good. What's more, I became interested in law early on, which is why it quickly became clear to me that I wanted to become a lawyer. ”
What do you say about the cliché: “Lawyers must know all laws by heart.” Is that true?
“Of course not. There are an unbelievable number of laws, case laws and new rulings on how laws are to be interpreted. You can't even know them all. But you have to know where to find them — and that's why it's important to always keep yourself up to date. ”
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
“Ambitious, determined and combative. ”
