BISON Polymers GmbH, a German manufacturer of nitrile single-use gloves, is establishing industrial "Made in Germany" production at its site in Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia, thereby positioning itself as part of an independent European supply chain for critical medical and industrial protective equipment.

Building a resilient European supply chain

"In a very short period of time, we have demonstrated that it is possible to establish competitive production in Germany. The financing now enables us to implement the expansion in a structured manner and at the necessary pace," says Hans-Christian Kämpfer, Managing Partner and Co-CEO of BISON Polymers GmbH. "Our objective is a high-performing European production facility for nitrile single-use gloves that operates independently of global uncertainties. Particularly against the backdrop of current geopolitical and economic developments, building resilient supply chains is of paramount importance. The support provided by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and our financing partners is a strong signal underscoring the relevance and long-term viability of the project."

Successfully navigating complex challenges

Thorsten Prigge emphasises: "We extend our thanks to the BISON team led by Hans-Christian Kämpfer, to Sparkasse Siegen as lead arranger and to all other financing partners, as well as to the AURICON team, for their outstanding collaboration. Having mastered every challenge inherent in a state-guaranteed syndicated financing for a company that has only recently entered the market is a source of genuine satisfaction and pride for all of us."

Dr. Alexander Nefzger adds: "The joint lead role with Sparkasse Siegen and NRW.BANK, together with the PwC team led by Rainer Holtmann—who, as ever, acted as mandatary of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and NRW.BANK—formed the essential foundation for securing the targeted financing."
